Reptiles-Twolined Dragon

Stock Photography By Paul Ross

Diporiphora bilineata - View images of this fascinating little lizard which is found in a wide variety of habitats from sanddunes to woodland and both wet and dry sclerophyll forest. It is diurnal and largely terrestrial, however, it climbs into low vegetation or on to fallen timber where it forages for small insects. The female was heavily pregnant and whilst watching her, a male ran up to her and mated, biting her on the back of the neck and eventually releasing her.
