Holly Grevillea

The Bungle Bungles or Purnululu National Park is a remote area in the Kimberley area of Western Australia. It is home to a conglomeration of striped rock domes made of sandstone with black stripes courtesy of the cyanobacteria that grow on the regions with a higher clay content. The region becomes swathed in colour as wildflowers, such as the Holly Grevillea (Grevillea aquifolium) bloom after rain.
