Traditional Newari window in Nepal

Located on the top of a hill, just 5 kilometres from the centre of Kathmandu, Kirtipur is a world away. It is an ancient town that could be 1000 years old that features, religion, culture and tradition particularly of the Newari people. This includes the ornately carved window frames that typify Newari buildings, temples and carved stone statues and shrines.
