to selling stock photography online

A mining company wanted to use the image for their prospectus and web page. They asked for unlimited usage, I ran it through the calculator, it came up with $1000 which they paid, it's all good.

This one of four images sold to my local council for use in an advertising campaign for both brochure and bus-sides. Usage fees for the 4 images over 2 months is $A2000.00. I obtained the business after sending an GlobalEye Lightbox to the council. I use the lightboxes a lot for that purpose.

A very easy sale through GlobalEye. A local Engineering firm requested a quote for this image for their upgraded web site. Client EFT payment the next day and I emailed through the image.

I made this sale purely because I was able to offer my client a Lightbox facility so images could be quickly browsed. The GlobalEye Lightbox facilitated this sale which otherwise I may have missed. The Wet Tropics Management Authority wanted to see what images I had and I simply made a Lightbox for them and a week later they wanted a price for 30 images for educational and promotional use for the organisation. After discussing their budget a settlement of AUD$3,000 was made which we are both

Had a request for this image which I actually use on my stationary. The client who I had sold to before said I had given them a quote for $704.00 which they had accepted. I had shot the image on a Widelux in 1992 and the only scan I had was rather too small so I found a nice large print of it and copied it with my camera. Client was more than happy and later I found the negative but didn't need it!

Sold this and 16 other food photos to a small family-owned nearby restaurant for 11x14 inch poster, 3x3 inch newspaper advertisement, menus, and future use on business website. It all began as chef's/owner's favor to me to shoot food/courses and expand my stock collection with subject of my interest that involved set amount of time indoors. The chef/owner let me shoot what and how I wanted, loved the resulting photos, and we began the business relationship. Within two weeks he got the

Photo License Requests, Even Easier If you enable our Price Calculator, the Clients will work out the price themselves and simply contact you to arrange payment and delivery. It doesn't get any simpler. |

General Photo Requests When a Client can't find what they want, or has a long list of requirements, or hasn't got time to search themselves, we pass their photo wants on to everyone. |

Unlimited Themed Lightboxes These are simply search engine friendly photo sets and they generate a huge amount of direct targeted traffic. Buyers searching for a given subject arrive straight from Google & Yahoo to your photo sets and if they like what they see they contact you direct. |

Shared Custom Lightboxes Same feature but even more powerful (and lucrative) if you choose to get pro-active. Research a buyer and prepare a custom lightbox specifically for them, then invite them to take a look. If that sounds simple, it is! These personal invite emails can generate 90% click-through rates and account for some our best sales! |

Front Page Gallery Exhibits These get you home-page exposure on both our websites and allow you to add extended written copy ... which makes them particularly attractive to editorial and feature buyers. They also rank extremely well in the search engines and help get you established as the go-to photographer for your subjects. |

Your Personal Client List We give you an easy-to use Client Manager that lets you build your Client List from each and every contact ... so you can go back to them over-and-over with new material relevant to their needs. Most stock libraries cannot afford to let you do this, we show you how and encourage it! |
![]() |
Personal Client List #2 Even before you shoot the material, go to your Client list with story ideas, travel plans or upcoming local events to see if they're interested? We have photographers in every corner of the world and our buyers are even more diverse, so it makes sense that events in your community could be exotic and interesting to buyers somewhere else! |
![]() |
Personal Client List #3 As you develop a good working relationship with your personal Clients you can start asking what they'll be needing in the future, and they'll start to come to you as someone they know is able to supply the subjects they need. This is pure gold. Sales on demand from proven buyers! |
![]() |
Commissioned Photography Assignments When Clients come looking for someone with your skills & experience in your location, they're usually motivated buyers in a big hurry! Our photographer database is fully optimized and indexed by all the major search engines, and we'll have you listed for your major work categories & locations in no time at all. |

Events Photography A number of our photographers regularly cover various events and add all the images to Private Lightboxes and pass the link on to the Clients. They then login to review the images and purchase those they want. We have people doing this with sports events, community events & festivals, private parties, nightclubs and more ... all with great results. |
![]() |
Portrait Photography Again using the Private Lightboxes we have a number of portrait photographers (people and pets!) who use our lightboxes to share the complete shoot and let their Clients order prints by email or over the phone. The savvy photographers then follow up with the suggestion the Client also shares the link with other family and friends as appropriate! |
![]() |
Wedding Photography We have some photographers set up similar lightboxes so wedding guests can order additional prints as well. They set up an empty lightbox before the wedding with a 'coming soon' message, and simply hand out the web address on their business card on the day ... to pick up extra print sales and extra business! |
![]() |
Prints & Enlargements Not everyone wants to do this, but we do get a fair number of private buyers coming through the website looking for prints for decor and gifts, so it can be some easy extra sales if you're organized. Some photographers set up a small selection of their most popular images on a fulfillment website and put the same images in a single lightbox ... and then refer any personal shoppers to the lightbox, which is linked to the fulfillment service. |
![]() |
Photo Product Sales We also have a few photographers using other web-based services to drop ship photo-products ... gift cards, clothing items, calendars, coffee mugs etc ... they lodge a selection of images with the other website, set up a GlobalEye lightbox of the same images and direct interested visitors to the relevant sites. |

GlobalEye was the original Co-operative Stock Photography Library, and even today we're still just a bunch of photographers working together to reduce our costs, increase our exposure and sell more photos.
We came together because we weren't happy with where Stock Photography was headed, and we figured we could do better on our own. 13 years later and our experiment has evolved into an effective and powerful photography marketing system that's unlike any other.
GlobalEye has registered photo buyers in over 150 countries, constantly looking for quality stock images of just about any subject you can imagine. We represent all types of photographers from talented part-timers to 50-year veterans. We have photographers on every continent working in every conceivable field.
Representation is by invite only, but we're always keen to hear from talented new photographers.
